Cathy McAuley
Co-founder
Cathy’s career as a professional actor span over 3 decades. Her strong comedic ability paired with one of the quickest wits has kept her gainfully employed in the entertainment industry. McAuley considers herself a journeyman actor as she has been able to successfully weave theater, television, film, and voiceover into her ever evolving body of work. McAuley also holds an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii. Cathy is blessed with the nicest guy on the planet she calls her husband Kenny and their only Angel of a daughter Remington.
Cathy has appeared in over 150 television commercials. She earned a Clio Award for the Phil Donahue vs Oprah Campaign, as well as starring in Chuck Blore's Emmy Award Washington Weather Commercial. She has worked with some of the biggest directors in the business (who yes, also do direct commercials). McAuley's voice has been featured on radio and television in the following spots for: FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC Television Promos, Nick Jr, E.! Honda, Chevy along with every fast-food restaurant, insurances, and phone carriers, just to name a few.
McAuley is most recognized for her recurring role on Night Court where she played Wanda the Matchmaker, Bull's Wife. Other television credits include: Days of our Lives, Quantum Leap, Dave Thomas Show, Dharma & Greg, Tim Conway's Dorf Family Special, They Came From Outer Space, Hard Time on Planet Earth, Murder She Wrote, The New Adam -12, Mr. Belvedere, Love & Betrayal Television Movie and the animated series Masupilami- Film Credits include Beanstalk, The Rosebud Beach Hotel and her notable role as Faye in the Academy Award nominated short film Bronx Cheers.
Cathy has appeared in 15 stage productions including: 3 national record-breaking Broadway Tours of The Odd Couple as Cecily Pidgeon with Tim Conway & Tom Poston, 2 National Broadway Tours of Just for Laughs written by Tim Conway originating the role of Ginnny (with 3 n's) starring Tim Conway & Tom Poston. She also starred in Is There - Life After Birth? Directed by Donny Most, Hairspray as Velma Directed by Obba Babatunde', the original production of "Why do When You Can Over Do? - A One Women Show with Men!" Written by Cathy McAuley Directed by Obba Babatunde'.
McAuley's most recent work includes working with a crew of wonderful new film makers on the short film The Sophisticated Women. Cathy’s journey and relentless passion to give back in the arts continues with Spectrum Laboratory where she mentors Young Adults on the Autism Spectrum. Forging a path of inclusion through diversity where we can educate, empower, and entertain.
With the greatest amount of love, raw belief, and the power of innocence we a young group of College Theater Students formed an unbreakable alliance, and we all pledged that one day we would be back hitting the boards, together. Well now we are fulfilling that Dream and have named it, “ Harvest Theater Company.” Thank you, Jim Landis, for your unwavering love, belief & trust in me.
