Jim Landis
Co-founder
Jim’s love for the theater started when he was very young. While in High School in Orange County California, Jim did his first production, ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’ and it was off to the races! Jim would go on to spend ten years working at Disneyland as a performer. Doing everything from Cowboy stunt shows to National Publicity Tours. He looks back very fondly at his years working with Walt Disney Entertainment Company. During that time, he would also perform in multiple Summer Stock and regional productions.
Jim would eventually move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in Television and Film production as a Propmaster, while still making time to pen plays and keeping theater on the back burner. For several years, Jim worked with a resident theater company at The LaMirada Performing Arts Center, where he co-wrote four original musicals for younger audiences as well his own production of ‘Buffalo Betty’s Wild West Revue’ with Disney composer Michael Tavera.
Jim currently is owner of GRANDIS CREATIONS LLC. A company that creates specialty props for Television, Screen and Stage for such clients as NBC, ABC, CBS, HBO, NETFLIX, PARAMOUNT + and DISNEY IMAGINEERING. Although very grateful for his many opportunities, his heart has always remained in the theater. Over the years, Jim has received recognition for his writing, garnering awards from Drama-Logue as well as The Eugene O’Neil Playwrighting Festival in New York City. At this time, Jim is thrilled to be co-founder of HARVEST THEATER COMPANY with fellow alum, Cathy McAuley. Their collaboration is a culmination of their lifelong friendship, dreams and passions of wanting to create quality and inclusive theater for everyone.
